Q - Why Use Day2Websites?
A - Our Website Packages are uniquely designed for those who require a professional looking website but do not have the technical skills to set one up or don't want to spend thousands of dollars hiring a web designer. Day2Website is a turnkey website solution for non-technical users. We take care of the Hosting, Domain Name, Installation, Design, and Hosting. All you have to do, is choose a Theme, a Domain Name, and a Plan - We will set-up and install your website - And then you log in and add your content.
Q - What is a domain name?
A - It is your unique website address, each website has a unique address or ULR. An example is www.google.com
Q - What if I already have a domain name?
A - If you have an existing Domain Name and want to use it with your Website Package - that's not a problem, we will give you instructions on how to point your existing domain name to our hosting server, or we can even do it for you.
Q - What is internet hosting or a hosting server?
A - A computer much like your personal computer that stores your website files (or commonly known as hosting your website) that is permanently connected to the internet with special software to run website applications. This specialized computer is better know as a "hosting server". Your domain name will point to the server. BUT don't worry we are turn-key!
Q - What can I change or add on my website myself?
A - You will have at your disposal a CMS (content management system) (What a CMS?) control panel, and through this control panel you will be able to add or change text, add new pages, and upload images. When you add a new page and you would like it added to the main navigation menu, you must contact up through email-support and we will be gladly to make the addition apply the new page to your navigation menu.
Q - OK, how easy will it be to edit my websites content, I don't know HTML?
A - You don't have to know HTML. You CMS is designed with non-techical users in mind, it can't get any easier. Simply log into your CMS find the content area you want to add or edit content, click the "Green Edit" Bubble.
Q - What about my Website Name?
A - Normally we change the "Theme Name" to your organizations name during setup, for example the Theme "Slate One", we will change "Slate One" to "Your Company Name". You also will have the capability to change your website name through the CMS control panel.
Q - What if I have an existing image based Logo, can I use it?
A - Yes. For $35 we can incorporate it into your website. However, the image should be of professional high quality with a transparent background designed in PNG-32 format (your logo designer should understand this).
Q - Can you create a logo for my website?
A - Yes. Starting at $45, but depends on what your requirements are.
Q - I found a theme I like, need the colors changed, will Day2websites make the change?
A - Yes. We charge just $35 an hour to customize your theme.
